Record Store Day 2024

RECORD STORE DAY

The day that evolves all around music... This year it is on April 20, 2024. The idea behind RSD is to attract an extra audience to the smaller local record stores. You can find special releases of various vinyl albums made especially for this one day, but only IN the smaller record stores. Gone = gone and whoever is first has the largest choice. We therefore always recommend that you come and discover what music is on the menu in our store in Scheveningen. The releases can also be found on www.recordstoreday.nl They are not for sale on that website.

Initially you will not find the releases of RSD in our webshop either. The records that remain after a musical day such as Record Store Day may only be sold online after RSD has ended. So if you ask us, we wouldn't wait for other customers' leftovers, but be there early in the morning! If you don't have the time to stop by, you'll find the special releases online starting from Monday April 22nd at 9 PM.

Record Store: Bennies Fifties

You may not have even thought about it, but our store in Scheveningen has actually been a music store for years where you could mainly buy music for your jukebox (and record player). In recent years, the popularity of vinyl has increased to such an extent that we have expanded our collection and now also have stacks of amazing vinyl albums in stock. In the 1950s and 1960s, music was only released on vinyl, but many modern musicians also release music on vinyl these days. We have everything for the music lover: from Elvis to Kylie Minogue and from *NSync to Ariana Grande and Michael Bublé.

Music for your mind, your body and your soul...

Especially the latter makes music so magical! You won't find it on the reflective layer of a Compact Disc, nor in the digital code of an MP3... Only vinyl has the power to transfer the 'soul' of the musician from the grooves of the record to you. You are much closer to the artist and you can experience music like no other medium.

We bring you the best records from artists from the 50's to the present day. Not just the mainstream sound, but also the somewhat unknown artists, the musicians, the free thinkers who put their heart and soul in their work.

Born out of love, cherished and therefore grown quickly... That's how you could describe the entire Fifties Store, but also our vinyl record department. Nearly 2,500 vinyl albums, 500+ vinyl singles, 100 different record players and various accessories are waiting for your discovery in the shop, both in Scheveningen and online.

With our rapidly growing collection of vinyl, we can certainly call ourselves an independent record store. Not only does that sound nice, but it also has its advantages. 


RSD BLACK FRIDAY

RSD Black Friday is the little brother of Record Store Day. It will be held during Black Friday. But don't think you'll get less or outdated music, because lots of new music will be released this day. Around November the releases will be announced on the official website.
