Various Artists - Santa Claus Is From The South 2LP

Santa Claus Is From The South is a nostalgic two-LP Christmas collection packed with vintage country, hillbilly, bluegrass and honky-tonk holiday music. Its 29 tracks combine major country stars with carefully selected lesser-known performers, capturing the warmth, humour and down-home spirit of classic American country Christmas recordings.

The collection features Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys, Hank Snow, Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, Ernest Tubb, George Jones, Kitty Wells, Faron Young, Little Jimmy Dickens and many more. Ballads sit alongside swinging hillbilly, bluegrass, novelty numbers and honky-tonk Christmas songs, with the label also highlighting recordings that had not previously been available on LP.

Highlights range from Santa Is On His Way, Christmas Time's A-Coming and Blue Christmas to George Jones' New Baby For Christmas and Benny Martin's playful title track.

This 2LP black-vinyl edition is released by Second Records as SRXM021, EAN 9120005658592, with an official release date of 23 October 2026.
