Moana 2 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) brings together the adventurous and colourful music from Disney's 2024 animated film on a beautiful vinyl edition. Featuring original songs by Abigail Barlow & Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa'i and Mark Mancina, the soundtrack takes listeners back to the spectacular world of the Pacific Ocean.

This special edition is pressed on Vibrant Violet Vinyl, an eye-catching purple colour that perfectly complements the film's colourful visual style. The packaging also features a distinctive pop-up illustration of Moana and her crew, making it a particularly attractive release for Disney collectors.

In Moana 2, the adventurous young wayfinder sets out on a new journey across the ocean after receiving an unexpected call from her ancestors. Accompanied by an unusual crew, she travels into unfamiliar waters and encounters new challenges and discoveries.

Music once again plays a central role in the story. The soundtrack combines memorable Disney songs, powerful vocal performances, rhythmic percussion and musical influences inspired by Pacific Island cultures.

The original songs were written by Grammy-winning songwriting duo Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, working alongside Opetaia Foa'i, known for his work with Polynesian music group Te Vaka, and acclaimed composer Mark Mancina, who also contributed to the original Moana soundtrack.

One of the standout songs is We're Back, an energetic celebration of Moana's return. Featuring vocals by Auli'i Cravalho, the original English-language voice of Moana, the song immediately captures the excitement and optimism of the film.

Beyond provides one of the soundtrack's most emotional moments. Exploring themes of courage, change and embracing the unknown, the song combines expressive vocals with a powerful and memorable melody.

What Could Be Better Than This? brings the adventurous spirit of the story to life, while Get Lost, performed by Awhimai Fraser, introduces a more mysterious and theatrical atmosphere.

Another highlight is Can I Get A Chee Hoo?, performed by Dwayne Johnson as Maui. Its infectious energy and playful delivery make it one of the soundtrack's most entertaining songs.

The contributions of Opetaia Foa'i and Te Vaka give the album its distinctive Pacific musical character. Tracks such as Tulou Tagaloa (Sei E Va'ai Mai), Finding The Way and We Know The Way (Te Fenua Te Malie) blend traditional vocal influences with contemporary Disney songwriting.

This vinyl edition features 16 songs, including alternative versions of Beyond and We're Back.

With its striking purple vinyl and special pop-up packaging, Moana 2 is a wonderful addition to any collection of Disney soundtracks, animated film music and coloured vinyl.
