Additional delivery costs due to size/fragility
This product is too large, heavy, or fragile to be sent by 'normal' postal delivery. Additional delivery costs may be charged depending on the product and shipping address.
These shipping costs are determined after you have placed your order. We will contact you for the exact delivery date and additional shipping costs.
Don’t like financial surprises? Contact us before placing the order. We can inform you about the (possible) additional shipping costs.
The order will then be shipped via an external carrier specializing in large or fragile items. We can also use our own delivery service to get the product safely to your desired location.
You can always pick up the product at our store in Scheveningen. Then, of course, no shipping costs will be charged. We are open 7 days a week.
Product information
The units that were placed in the local taverns looked like a regular jukebox, but had no phonograph mechanism.
The patron at the tavern would deposit a coin, then speak into a microphone which connected them to one of the operators at the studio, who would then locate the record, and play the request.
It was a technology ahead of its time and only lasted until the mid-50’s.
This fantastic machine is bought by the Dutch Pickers, follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
