Product information
Formed in 1987 by Fruitbat and Jim Bob, Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine exploded onto the UK music scene with their unique fusion of punk-pop energy, biting social commentary, and inventive use of samples and drum machines.
Now available on vinyl for the very first time, exclusively for Record Store Day Black Friday 2025, Avon Calling! captures the band at their electrifying best — raw, raucous, and full of attitude during their 1994 Phoenix Festival performance.
This live set showcases Carter USM powering through fan favourites like The Only Living Boy in New Cross and Sheriff Fatman, alongside newer cuts Let’s Get Tattoos and The Young Offender’s Mum, plus a fiery cover of the Buzzcocks’ Everybody’s Happy Nowadays.
Remastered and pressed on two 140g black vinyl discs, the album comes in a deluxe gatefold sleeve featuring new artwork by Mark Reynolds — a must-have for fans and collectors alike.
