Product information
After EPs The New Black and White Vol.1 and 2, released over the past two years, Danny Vera has now released another full-length album: The Outsider. Once again recorded in Frans Hagenaars' studio, and one for Danny's decent up-tempo record. But in his own words, Danny also remains “a sucker for ballads” and they are not lacking either. It has become an impressive mix of songs about love, life, death and with a touch of social criticism here and there.
Influenced by Roy Orbison, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Isaak and Lucinda Williams, Danny Vera bought his first guitar, a Gretsch '67 Tennessean, fifteen years ago in New Orleans. With this very American guitar he was able to closely approximate the sound of his own, with catchy Americana-like songs, energetic and with a full guitar sound.
