Afterparty is the latest musical project by Dutch singer-songwriter Davina Michelle. Its first chapter, officially titled AFTERPART1, was released on September 25, 2026, and features seven songs combining powerful vocals, emotional songwriting and energetic contemporary pop.
This special LP edition is pressed on 140-gram Light Rose Vinyl, giving the record a beautiful soft-pink appearance that complements the album's colourful artwork and celebratory atmosphere.
On AFTERPART1, Davina Michelle explores the importance of celebrating life even when circumstances are difficult. The songs address themes of freedom, identity, self-acceptance, love and the courage to remain true to yourself. Rather than presenting celebration as an escape from reality, the album embraces it as a way of acknowledging life's imperfections and finding strength in the moment.
The single Still Champagne reflects this philosophy, transforming a difficult personal experience into a song about resilience and celebration. What A Woman explores the many different ways of expressing femininity, independence and personal strength.
Other highlights include Round I Go, Babygirl, Pinky Swear and I Can't Even Hate You Anymore, showcasing Davina Michelle's distinctive voice and ability to combine memorable pop melodies with emotionally honest lyrics.
AFTERPART1 is the first half of the two-part AFTERPARTY project. Its companion album, AFTERPART2, is scheduled for 2027. Both releases are designed to form one complete package, with the second album's sleeve fitting into the first.
Featuring seven captivating pop songs, this Light Rose Vinyl LP is a wonderful addition to any collection of contemporary Dutch pop music.
