Brothers In Arms is the legendary fifth studio album by Dire Straits and one of the defining rock records of the 1980s. Originally released in 1985, the album combines Mark Knopfler's unmistakable vocals and guitar playing with polished, spacious production.

This 2LP edition spreads the album across four sides of vinyl, giving its longer tracks plenty of room and making it an attractive edition of this classic record for vinyl enthusiasts.

The album begins with So Far Away, followed by the unmistakable Money For Nothing. Featuring Sting on its famous opening vocal, the song became one of Dire Straits' biggest international hits and was accompanied by an innovative music video that became an MTV landmark.

Another major hit is Walk Of Life, instantly recognisable from its infectious keyboard introduction. The album also reveals a more atmospheric side of Dire Straits through tracks such as Your Latest Trick, Why Worry, Ride Across The River and The Man's Too Strong.

The record concludes with the magnificent title track Brothers In Arms, combining Knopfler's expressive guitar work with a haunting, reflective atmosphere. It remains one of the band's most celebrated recordings.

The album was also significant in the development of digital recording and the rise of the compact disc, becoming one of the landmark releases of the early digital era while simultaneously remaining a favourite among vinyl listeners.

An essential double album for fans of Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler, classic rock and beautifully produced 1980s music.
