Run, Rose, Run is Dolly Parton's 2022 country and bluegrass album, created as the musical companion to the novel of the same name co-written by Parton and bestselling author James Patterson. Its twelve songs were inspired by the book's storyline, adding a musical dimension to its characters, setting and themes.

The story follows a young woman heading to Nashville in pursuit of her dream of becoming a musician. That journey is reflected throughout the album, with songs dealing with ambition, perseverance, relationships, secrets and the less glamorous side of the music business. Big Dreams and Faded Jeans perfectly captures that spirit, telling the story of setting out for Music City with songs and big dreams in tow.

Musically, Run, Rose, Run finds Parton embracing her country and bluegrass roots. From the lively Run and Driven to the storytelling of Blue Bonnet Breeze and the spirited Woman Up (And Take It Like a Man), the record puts Dolly's unmistakable songwriting and storytelling firmly at the centre.

Several notable country and bluegrass musicians contribute to the album. Ben Haggard appears on Demons, Joe Nichols guests on Lost and Found, and Richard Dennison features on Love or Lust. Rhonda Vincent, The Isaacs and Dailey & Vincent are among the other artists contributing to the project.

Produced by Dolly Parton, Richard Dennison and Tom Rutledge, the album was originally released in March 2022, with the standard vinyl edition following that spring through Parton's own Butterfly Records. This edition comes on black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve and carries EAN 0192641820007.

A particularly appealing Dolly Parton release for fans of traditional country, bluegrass, Americana and story-driven singer-songwriter albums.
