Dolly Parton – The Very Best Of Dolly Parton 2LP

20 Greatest Hits & Classics • Double Black Vinyl • RCA / Legacy / Sony Music • Country / Country Pop

Available at Bennies Fifties and the online Fifties Store

The Very Best Of Dolly Parton brings together 20 classic Dolly Parton recordings on a double-vinyl collection. Originally issued as a compilation in 2007, it received its first vinyl release on June 26, 2020, through RCA, Legacy and Sony Music.

The collection provides an excellent overview of one of country music's most celebrated artists and songwriters. Essential Parton classics including Jolene, 9 To 5, I Will Always Love You, Coat Of Many Colors and Here You Come Again are joined by My Tennessee Mountain Home, Love Is Like A Butterfly and The Bargain Store.

Several famous collaborations are included as well. There's the classic Islands In The Stream with Kenny Rogers, Everything's Beautiful (In Its Own Way) with Willie Nelson, and To Know Him Is To Love Him with Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris. The collection also includes Silver Threads And Golden Needles with Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn.

Across four vinyl sides, the compilation moves from heartfelt country storytelling to the hugely successful country-pop crossover recordings of the 1970s and '80s. Songs including Potential New Boyfriend, Tennessee Homesick Blues, Dumb Blonde, Applejack and Old Flames Can't Hold A Candle To You make the set a broad introduction to Parton's catalogue.

This standard edition comes on two black vinyl records, features 20 tracks and carries EAN/UPC 0194397516319.

An essential collection for fans of Dolly Parton, classic country, Nashville, country-pop and American singer-songwriters.
