Revival: Live At Pookie’s Pub is a major historical jazz release capturing Elvin Jones live in 1967 at the legendary Pookie’s Pub in New York City. These recordings showcase Jones at his fiery, innovative peak — driving the band with explosive polyrhythms and deep musical intuition.
Featuring a top-class lineup (including saxophonist Joe Farrell and pianist Billy Greene on most sets), the performances explore modal jazz, free improvisation and dynamic post-bop interplay. It’s an incredible snapshot of three nights of pure creative intensity.
This 3LP edition presents the full concert material, newly restored and remastered from the original tapes — a treasure for jazz collectors and Elvin Jones fans.
