Elvis Presley – Bridge Over Troubled Water Las Vegas, August 31, 1971 – Midnight Show CD ALTERNATE COVER

The CD Elvis Presley – Bridge Over Troubled Water captures a truly special live performance from Elvis’ legendary Las Vegas era: the Midnight Show recorded on August 31, 1971, at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas. Released by the Elvis Concert Fan label, this edition is a must-have for collectors and fans of Elvis’ early 1970s concerts.

A unique and emotional finale

What makes this concert stand out is its remarkable closing moment. Instead of ending the show with Can’t Help Falling In Love, Elvis surprises the audience by finishing with a deeply moving rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” This powerful performance is widely regarded as the emotional highlight of the entire show and gives this release its distinctive character.

Remastered audience recording

This CD features a newly remastered audience recording, offering a clear and immersive listening experience. The atmosphere of the showroom, the interaction with the audience, and Elvis’ commanding vocals are beautifully preserved. It is considered one of the finest-sounding audience recordings from Elvis’ 1971 Las Vegas season.

Very limited edition

Bridge Over Troubled Water is released as a strictly limited edition of only 350 copies worldwide, issued with two different cover variants (175 copies per cover).
One version features a standard cover image, while the alternate cover presents an artistic reconstruction of Elvis’ stage outfit, created due to the absence of a clear photograph from the show.

The CD also includes an 8-page booklet, adding further context and visual material to this historic performance.
