Product information
REELTRAX is back with another great 2-LP release – actually the first one in 2025 and it is OUT NOW! We decided to make a very limited number of only 150 (!!) copies in just one color version (a beautiful “Splatter Vinyl”) and only for the real vinyl collectors out there, since the same content has been released already by Reeltrax on a 2-CD set in spring of 2024!
“Elvis Seventy Three” is a 2-LP set that contains Elvis Presley’s closing night performance from September 3, 1973. You can experience this iconic show, which easily can be seen as one of the most unusual performances of Elvis ́ career in correct speed and superior sound quality, thanks to a meticulous Matrix mix of soundboard and audience recordings. This unique mix reveals intricacies and audience interactions previously unheard, capturing the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll in his element.
To make sure the content of this 2-LP set is 100% the “real” closing night show we did include the first 6 songs from an ambiance recording which has been made at closing night but placed them on Side 4 of the set (since those songs are not from a soundboard tape). It’s a pity that those first six songs have not been recorded on soundboard back in 1973.
