Elvis Presley – Southbound (2-LP + Bonus CD – Blue Vinyl – Limited Edition)
Rare and long sold out double album on blue vinyl with bonus CD!
Available from Bennies Fifties and online at the Fifties Store.
Southbound is a rare and collectible release documenting a powerful yet poignant moment in Elvis Presley’s career.
Recorded live at the Coliseum, Macon, Georgia, on Tuesday, August 31, 1976, during Elvis’ 7th tour of that year, the album captures The King in his final touring era.
Originally issued in 1998 as a CD-only release, Southbound received a long-overdue high-quality vinyl reissue in 2020 (dated 2019), now presented as a 2-LP set on blue vinyl, with a bonus CD included.
A raw, human portrait of Elvis in 1976
The 1976 tours weren’t among Elvis’ finest — he was tired, struggling, and at times detached.
Yet, the energy, charisma, and devotion of his fans remained. The Macon show reflects an honest and touching chapter in his final years — The King, still giving his all.
For the first time ever, the show is now remastered from the original soundboard recording and pressed on high-quality vinyl.
Housed in a beautiful gatefold sleeve, this limited edition was made available in red or blue vinyl — this version being the blue vinyl edition, highly sought-after by collectors.
