Elvis Presley – Live At Dell Webb's Sahara Tahoe 1974 – The Final Shows 7CD BOX

Elvis Presley – Live At Dell Webb's Sahara Tahoe 1974 – The Final Shows is an impressive 7CD Limited Edition Box Set, strictly limited to 300 numbered copies. The collection brings together seven live performances recorded at the High Sierra Room, Sahara Tahoe, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, during Elvis' May and October 1974 engagements.
The first five discs document Elvis' final shows of the May 1974 engagement, ranging from the May 25 Dinner Show through the spectacular 3:00 AM Closing Show on May 27.
Several different recording sources are featured. The shows from May 25, May 26 Dinner Show and May 27 were recorded directly from the soundboard in their original mono sound. The May 26 Midnight Show and both October 13 performances are presented from vibrant audience recordings.
The set therefore offers collectors an interesting opportunity to experience both the differences in recording sources and the changes in Elvis' performances between May and October 1974.
The collection features many essential songs from Elvis' 1974 repertoire, including See See Rider, I Got A Woman/Amen, Trying To Get To You, Hound Dog, Fever, Polk Salad Annie, Why Me Lord, Suspicious Minds, I Can't Stop Loving You, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Let Me Be There, Big Boss Man and Can't Help Falling In Love.
The May 27 Closing Show is particularly interesting, featuring The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, An American Trilogy and It's Now or Never, before Elvis brings the performance to a close with Can't Help Falling In Love.
The two October 13, 1974 performances feature a somewhat different setlist, including Teddy Bear, Heartbreak Hotel, If You Love Me (Let Me Know), It's Midnight, Lawdy Miss Clawdy, Johnny B. Goode and Hawaiian Wedding Song.
A highly attractive release for collectors of Elvis' live performances from 1974, combining seven complete shows, original mono soundboard recordings and vibrant audience recordings in one deluxe package.
Strictly limited to 300 numbered copies – a true collector's edition for Elvis Presley fans.
