Elvis Presley - Rocking The Garden DVD

Elvis Presley – Rocking The Garden DVD

Available at Bennies Fifties and the online Fifties Store

Rocking The Garden is a fascinating collector's DVD devoted to Elvis Presley's historic concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York, held between June 9 and June 11, 1972. Elvis performed four sold-out shows at the legendary venue, creating one of the most celebrated moments of his 1970s concert career.

The DVD features rare 8mm footage from the New York concerts. A known version of Rocking The Garden includes footage from both the afternoon and evening performances of June 10, 1972, together with material from Elvis' New York press conference. Other circulating editions contain material from all four Madison Square Garden shows, so exact contents can vary between releases.

Concert footage includes performances such as That's All Right, Proud Mary, Polk Salad Annie and Never Been To Spain. As much of the material originates from historic fan-shot 8mm film, picture and sound quality naturally reflect the source material. Its rarity, however, makes Rocking The Garden a particularly interesting release for dedicated Elvis collectors.
