This deluxe collector's edition comes housed in an individually numbered slipcase and combines two substantial hardcover books with four CDs of rare and previously unavailable audio material, focusing entirely on Elvis Presley’s military service years.

The first book, Memphis To Brooklyn, chronicles Elvis' journey from his induction into the U.S. Army in March 1958 through basic training in Texas and ultimately his departure for Germany in September 1958. It also provides an in-depth look at the legendary June 1958 Nashville recording session at RCA Studio B.

The first two CDs feature the complete Nashville session, presented for the very first time in its original recording sequence. Highlights include multiple takes of A Big Hunk O' Love, I Need Your Love Tonight, I Got Stung, A Fool Such As I, and Ain't That Loving You Baby.

The second book focuses entirely on Elvis' time in Germany. Through rare photographs, official documents, and personal recollections from fellow soldiers, family members, and close friends, readers gain an intimate perspective on Elvis' life away from the spotlight.

CDs 3 and 4 contain Elvis' legendary Germany home recordings from 1958 and 1959. These private recordings capture relaxed performances of gospel songs, country favorites, pop standards, and spontaneous jam sessions. All recordings have been newly restored and mastered by Anthony Stuchbury for this release.

Produced by Ernst Mikael Jørgensen, with mastering by Kevan Budd and extensive historical research throughout, Soldier Boy – 53 310 761 is an essential addition to any serious Elvis Presley collection.
