Elvis live at the Nassau Coliseum
The concert begins with See See Rider, followed by I Got A Woman, Love Me Tender, Steamroller Blues and the dramatic You Gave Me A Mountain. Love Me and Blue Suede Shoes take the audience back to Elvis’ earlier years.
One of the most interesting sections is an extended rock ’n’ roll medley featuring Long Tall Sally, Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, Flip, Flop & Fly, Shake, Rattle And Roll and Jailhouse Rock.
The change of pace with I’m Leavin’ is followed by a powerful performance of How Great Thou Art, including a reprise. Elvis then moves through Hound Dog, Fever, What Now My Love and one of his signature live numbers, Suspicious Minds.
Following the introductions, the second part includes I’ll Remember You, I Can’t Stop Loving You and An American Trilogy. Elvis returns to his rock ’n’ roll roots with A Big Hunk O’ Love before closing the concert with Can’t Help Falling In Love.
