Product information
The Knock Out label has released the CD "Elvis: Way Down In Louisiana," featuring the Matrix recording of Elvis Presley's May 4, 1975, afternoon concert at the Civic Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
The first Matrix recording of the May 4, 1975, afternoon show!
You've already heard the mixing desk recording: flat, piano-dominated, a little sparse. Well, we've reversed that! By combining a high-quality audience recording with the original mixing desk recording, we've created a rich, vibrant, and full-bodied sound that brings every instrument to life.
It's balanced, it's punchy, it's how this show was meant to be heard!
And yes... we've stayed true to the original: the first four tracks are reproduced exactly as recorded by the audience, raw and authentic, because the mixing desk recording completely lost them. Packaged in another stunning digipack, packed with fantastic photos from the April/May '75 tour, this release is for fans who want something special.
