Elvis Presley Live in Las Vegas – March 24, 1975
In March 1975, Elvis Presley returned to the Las Vegas Hilton for another series of concerts.
During these performances, Elvis presented a diverse musical programme combining classic rock 'n' roll, country music, contemporary material and powerful ballads.
The March 24, 1975 Dinner Show forms the centrepiece of this special double-CD collection.
The concert opens with the familiar introduction of Also Sprach Zarathustra, followed by the energetic See See Rider and the gospel medley I Got A Woman / Amen.
Elvis continues with a varied selection of songs, including Love Me, If You Love Me (Let Me Know) and And I Love You So.
One of the highlights of the concert is Big Boss Man, featuring Elvis' distinctive rock 'n' roll vocals.
His performance of Promised Land brings additional energy to the show, while It's Midnight, My Boy and Green Green Grass Of Home demonstrate the more emotional side of his musical repertoire.
The concert also includes a powerful rendition of An American Trilogy, before Elvis closes the evening with his traditional finale, Can't Help Falling In Love.
This recording offers an authentic glimpse into an evening with Elvis Presley at the Las Vegas Hilton.
A Historic Audience Recording
The March 24, 1975 concert was captured on an audience recording made inside the showroom.
Unlike professionally recorded soundboard material, audience recordings capture the performance from the perspective of someone attending the concert.
Consequently, the sound quality reflects the recording equipment and acoustic conditions of the venue.
The audio quality of this release is comparable to other amateur recordings from the same period.
For collectors, the particular appeal of this release lies in its historical significance and the opportunity to hear a concert that had not previously been available when the album was originally released.
The audience reactions, Elvis' interaction with his musicians and the atmosphere of the Las Vegas showroom make this recording an interesting document of his live career.
