The Naked Truth by Golden Earring is one of the most remarkable and successful albums in Dutch rock history. Recorded in 1992 during the height of the MTV Unplugged trend, the band chose to create their own acoustic project. With a modest budget, the album was recorded live in an intimate café in Amsterdam, resulting in a raw, stripped-down and authentic sound.
Golden Earring, active from 1961 to 2021, remains one of the most iconic bands from the Netherlands. Their classic lineup featured George Kooymans, Rinus Gerritsen, Barry Hay, and Cesar Zuiderwijk. With over 40 hits and global classics such as “Radar Love” and “Twilight Zone,” their legacy is undeniable.
On The Naked Truth, these well-known songs are reimagined in acoustic form, highlighting the band’s songwriting and musicianship. The album became their best-selling release, showcasing a more intimate side of their sound.
This edition is a limited pressing of 2000 individually numbered copies on purple vinyl, housed in a deluxe linen-finish sleeve and includes an insert — a must-have for collectors.
