How it works
Preparation: Make sure the fabric is clean and dry. Preheat your iron (usually on the ‘cotton’ setting, with no steam) and iron the spot where the patch will be placed to make it smooth and warm.
Positioning: Place the patch with the adhesive side down on the desired area of the fabric.
Protection: Cover the patch with a thin cloth, baking paper, or a pressing cloth to protect the fabric.
Ironing: Press the iron firmly onto the patch without moving it (about 15–30 seconds).
Cooling: Allow the patch to cool completely; this is crucial for strong adhesion.
Optional: For extra durability, you can iron the back of the fabric after attaching the patch or add a few stitches to secure it.
Important tips
No steam: Do not use the steam function on your iron.
Heat: Use a hard, flat surface (not a soft ironing board pad).
Washing: Wash the garment inside out at a maximum of 40°C and avoid tumble drying to prevent the patch from loosening.
