Product information
Own a genuine piece of American automotive history with this original 1936 Illinois license plate. Made from embossed steel, this vintage plate features a dark background with cream embossed lettering and the year 1936 incorporated into its classic pre-war design.
After nearly 90 years, the plate has developed a beautiful authentic patina with weathered paint, surface rust, and natural signs of use that give it unmistakable vintage character. Every mark reflects decades of history on American roads, making this a truly one-of-a-kind collectible.
This original license plate was found in the United States by The Dutch Pickers and carefully selected for its authenticity and decorative appeal. It is an original vintage collectible—not a reproduction.
Perfect for collectors of American license plates, classic car enthusiasts, or as striking wall décor for a garage, workshop, man cave, café, or industrial-style interior.
