Johnny Thunders & Wayne Kramer – Gang War! (Red Black Splatter Vinyl, 2LP – Record Store Day Black Friday 2025)
Available at Bennies Fifties and the online Fifties Store
Two underground legends collide on Gang War!: Johnny Thunders, the influential punk icon of the New York Dolls and The Heartbreakers, joins forces with Wayne Kramer, the revolutionary guitarist of MC5. Their brief but explosive 1979 collaboration became the stuff of legend—raw, frantic, and soaked in street-level rock ’n’ roll energy.
This exclusive Record Store Day Black Friday 2025 edition finally presents a complete, remastered 2LP collection on stunning Red Black Splatter Vinyl. It captures the pure electricity of two major forces merging: Thunders’ gritty NYC punk swagger and Kramer’s fiery Detroit guitar rebellion.
Unfiltered, wild, and historically essential.
