KISS Destroys Anaheim ’76 captures one of the defining concerts from the band's classic era. On August 20, 1976, during the Spirit Of ’76 Tour, also known as the Destroyer Tour, KISS performed at Anaheim Stadium, California, before more than 42,000 fans – their largest audience up to that point. Fifty years later, the historic performance receives its official release as this 50th Anniversary Edition 2LP.
The concert was originally recorded that night by legendary producer and engineer Eddie Kramer. For the anniversary release, Kramer returned to the original multitrack tapes and created a new mix of the performance. The 2026 release marks the first time the historic Anaheim show has officially been made available to the public.
The concert captures the classic Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss line-up at a pivotal point in KISS history. Opening with Detroit Rock City, the band powers through King Of The Night Time World, Strutter, Hotter Than Hell, Cold Gin and Shout It Out Loud, alongside the guitar, bass and drum solos that were an essential part of the band's spectacular 1970s live shows.
The second LP delivers God Of Thunder and Rock And Roll All Nite, before the show closes with a formidable run of Deuce, Firehouse and Black Diamond.
This standard anniversary edition presents the 60-plus-minute concert on two 180-gram black vinyl records. An insert is also included, featuring highlights from the Deluxe Edition liner notes, previously unreleased photographs and memorabilia imagery.
Released on August 21, 2026, almost exactly fifty years after the original performance, the black-vinyl 2LP carries EAN 0199957416436.
An essential live document for fans of KISS, hard rock, classic rock and 1970s rock, particularly collectors of the legendary original line-up.
