Lil Wayne's mixtape "Sorry 4 The Wait" marks his early venture into trap, released as an apology for delay between "Tha Carter III" and "Tha Carter IV." It showcases a refined yet eccentric Wayne, retaining his personal touch and wild creativity.
From child prodigy in New Orleans to rap icon at Cash Money Records, Lil Wayne revolutionized hip-hop, making it mainstream and embracing the digital age. Despite setbacks, including legal battles and declining relevance, he made a remarkable comeback with one of rap's greatest records.
