Product information
At long last, the vinyl edition of this outstanding Hillbilly Swing album is here! It comes in a deluxe foldout sleeve, featuring one of the most captivating designs ever seen in the El Toro catalog. This release includes 17 tracks, which is six more than what you'll find on the CD version.
In their second album, Mr. Whiz continues to explore their distinctive style, proudly dubbed "hillbilly swing" by this Spanish trio. This term, originally used in the late 1940s by the western swing bandleader Curley Williams, describes a unique fusion of rockabilly, hillbilly, and western swing that has become the hallmark of Mr. Whiz. Their music is a harmonious blend of diverse influences, encompassing the rockabilly essence of Carl Perkins, the honky-tonk flair of Hank Williams, the vibrant western swing of Bob Wills, the intricate finger-picking of Merle Travis, and even the laid-back, jazzy swing of Fats Waller, among others.
