The Craft of Neon Production
Creating a neon piece like this requires true craftsmanship and precision. Each neon tube is hand-blown by skilled glass artisans, who carefully work with hollow glass tubes that are heated until flexible. These glass tubes are then delicately shaped to outline the iconic Musgo Gasoline logo. After shaping, a special mixture of noble gases, like neon or argon, is injected into the tube. When an electric current passes through the gas, it glows to produce the distinctive neon light.

The vibrant colors are achieved through specific gas combinations and coatings applied within the glass tubes. Red is typically produced with pure neon gas, while green results from a mix of argon and specific phosphor coatings. The soft, creamy tone is also meticulously crafted to provide a balanced, subtle glow that completes the design. This entire process—from bending glass to injecting gas and achieving perfect color tones—requires technical expertise and an artistic eye to bring out the desired intensity and effect.
