Pet Shop Boys — «Closer To Heaven» (2001/2022) [2LP Red Vinyl]
Available at Bennies Fifties and the online Fifties Store – your trusted source for Maschina Records.
«Closer To Heaven» marks the Pet Shop Boys’ first major theatrical creation — a bold, stylish, emotional musical that showcases Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe in a new artistic dimension. Development began in the mid-90s, with several songs first appearing on Nightlife (1999). The full musical premiered in London in 2001 and soon became a cult classic among PSB fans and contemporary theatre lovers.
Maschina Records proudly presents the first-ever vinyl edition of this soundtrack, pressed on stunning 2LP Red Vinyl. Featuring authentic artwork and a premium 200g audiophile pressing, this release highlights the electronic depth, dramatic arrangements and lyrical intensity of this unique Pet Shop Boys project.
All key songs from the production are included: My Night, Closer To Heaven, Shameless, In Denial, Vampires, For All Of Us, and more — along with reprises and instrumental passages exactly as designed for the stage.
