Product information
The Rock-Ola Empress 1497 is one of the most sought-after jukeboxes ever made by Rock-Ola – a true mid-century classic. This beautiful machine has been fully restored to Grade A condition by the experts at Bennie’s Fifties and is now proudly displayed in our showroom.
Offering 200 selections (100 x 45rpm records), this jukebox features its original tube amplifier, delivering that unmistakable warm and powerful sound. Part of the magic is the theatre of watching the mechanical arm pick the selected record from the carousel and gently place it on the turntable – a nostalgic experience every time.
Our restoration was a complete “nut and bolt” rebuild:
- The wooden cabinet was stripped back to bare wood, repaired, and refinished.
- All metalwork has been polished and re-chromed by our trusted specialists.
- The entire mechanism has been disassembled, cleaned, and recalibrated.
- The original tube amplifier has been perfectly tuned to the speaker system.
- The result? A Grade A1 jukebox that looks and performs as close to new as possible – just as it left the Rock-Ola factory in Chicago in 1962.
