Santana – Supernatural 2LP

Available at Bennies Fifties and the online Fifties Store

Supernatural is Santana's legendary comeback album and one of the most successful rock releases of the late 1990s. Originally released in 1999, the album combines Carlos Santana's unmistakable guitar sound and Latin-rock roots with pop, blues, soul and contemporary influences.

One of the defining features of Supernatural is its impressive selection of guest artists. The worldwide smash Smooth features Matchbox Twenty singer Rob Thomas, while Maria Maria features The Product G&B. Santana also collaborated with artists including Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews, Everlast, Lauryn Hill, CeeLo Green and Eagle-Eye Cherry.

Beyond its major singles, the album contains outstanding Santana tracks including (Da Le) Yaleo, Africa Bamba, Migra, Corazon Espinado, El Farol and Primavera. Closing track The Calling features the remarkable combination of Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton.

Supernatural launched an extraordinary new chapter in Santana's career. The album became a massive international success and won nine Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, while Smooth received awards including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Presented here as a 2LP edition across four vinyl sides, Supernatural remains an essential album for fans of Santana, Latin rock and classic 1990s music.
