Product information
A 28 pages comic book an a vinyl LP. Illustrated by Sera & Aranthell. Her biographers say she departed in 1990. Don’t believe a word of it. The living memory enclosed in this Swingin’ Easy album, makes her insolently alive for us, resplendent under the sun of her thirty years, her timbre unbelievably rich and warm, her technical mastery astounding, perfect diction, and that je-ne-sais-quoi that causes mind and body to quiver. Here she is, at an age when anything goes, a Musician among Musicians — with a capital M — like pianists Jimmy Jones and John Malachi, drummer Roy Haynes, bass players Richard Davis and Joe Benjamin. Great jazz in every track, the best of her best, the cream of her crop. Definitive and indispensable, period.
