Product information
Talking Heads – The CBS/Columbia Demos is a special Record Store Day 2026 release offering a rare glimpse into the early days of one of the most influential bands in new wave and post-punk history. This 2LP edition collects the original demo recordings made for CBS/Columbia Records.
These recordings feature early versions of songs that would later become Talking Heads classics. The raw energy, stripped-down arrangements and David Byrne’s distinctive vocals give these demos an intimate and authentic feel. It’s a unique opportunity to hear the band’s creative process in its formative stage.
Pressed as a limited Record Store Day edition, this 2LP set is essential for collectors of alternative rock, new wave and late ’70s music history.
