Product information
Deception is the debut album by British band The Colourfield, originally released in 1985. Fronted by Terry Hall (The Specials, Fun Boy Three), the album blends pop, new wave and chamber pop influences into a distinctive and melodic sound.
Featuring standout tracks such as Thinking of You and Castles in the Air, the album is known for its rich arrangements, warm production and Hall’s understated vocal style.
This Expanded Edition offers additional material, providing deeper insight into the band’s creative output and the musical context of the mid-80s alternative scene.
Released exclusively for Record Store Day 2026, this edition is presented as a 2LP set on clear vinyl, making it a stylish and collectible release for fans of The Colourfield, 80s pop and vinyl collectors.
