Harmony is the fifth studio album by American rock band Three Dog Night and one of the most successful recordings of their remarkable career. Originally released in September 1971, the album features an outstanding blend of classic rock, pop rock, soul, rhythm-and-blues and the band's distinctive vocal harmonies.

To celebrate its 55th anniversary, Harmony returns as a special, remastered Limited Edition pressed on 180-gram Clear Vinyl. Released in 2026, this anniversary edition presents the original album on transparent vinyl and includes new liner notes by founding member Danny Hutton.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1967, Three Dog Night quickly became one of America's most popular rock groups of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The band's signature sound was built around three powerful lead vocalists: Danny Hutton, Cory Wells and Chuck Negron.

Their exceptional vocal chemistry, supported by a talented instrumental line-up and an outstanding ability to interpret songs by contemporary songwriters, produced an impressive series of international hits.

With Harmony, Three Dog Night achieved another major artistic and commercial success. The album includes two American Top 10 hits: An Old Fashioned Love Song and Never Been To Spain.

Opening track Never Been To Spain, written by Hoyt Axton, became one of the band's most recognisable recordings, reaching number five on the Billboard Hot 100. Its driving rhythm, powerful vocal performance and unforgettable chorus make it a classic of early seventies rock.

Another major highlight is An Old Fashioned Love Song, written by Paul Williams. This warm, melodic pop-rock classic reached number four on the American singles chart, perfectly showcasing the rich harmonies of the band's three lead singers.

My Impersonal Life and Jam demonstrate the group's musical versatility through energetic arrangements and strong instrumental performances.

Never Dreamed You'd Leave In Summer offers a moving interpretation of the song written by Stevie Wonder and Syreeta Wright. Its soulful atmosphere reveals a more sensitive and emotional side of the band.

The second side features You and Night In The City, with Three Dog Night moving effortlessly between rhythmic rock and melodic pop influences.

Murder In My Heart For The Judge is a powerful interpretation of the Moby Grape song, highlighting the band's harder-edged rock sound.

The Family Of Man is another standout performance. Written by Paul Williams and Jack Conrad, the song would become a major hit for Three Dog Night in 1972, reaching the American Top 20.

The album closes with Intro: Poem, Mistakes And Illusions / Peace Of Mind, an atmospheric and adventurous performance that reveals the group's more experimental musical side.
