Vandenberg. A name with an illustrious past. Led by master guitarist Adrian Vandenberg, the Dutch foursome released three quality albums in the 1980s, and the band toured the US, Japan and Europe with Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, Rush, Scorpions, Michael Schenker and others. Adrian Vandenberg also joined Whitesnake for a further 13 years at the height of their fame, contributed to their Top 10 hit 'Here I Go Again' (# 1 in the US) through the world-famous solo, spent many years dueling with Steve Vai on guitar and returned for many reunions. He was part of supergroup Manic Eden and more recently he has shown that he still hasn't forgotten at Vandenberg's Moonkings. The band is now back at the front with a new line-up and a new album. It seems like they have never left, the band rocks like never before.

Ad made a huge splash by bringing in Chilean-born Ronnie Romero as a singer who has built an impressive reputation with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow in recent years. "I needed a super good singer to make sense to use the name Vandenberg again because I absolutely did not want to give the impression that this would seem a nostalgic step. Ronnie was the perfect person for that. We had contact via Facebook, and I asked him if he would be interested in joining the band, it turns out he's a big fan, like me, so we met in Madrid, where he lives, to see if we could get along. And we immediately clicked together. ”

Romero himself remembers the importance of Adrian Vandenberg in his musical career: “The reason why I started singing when I was in my teens is when I heard the live acoustic album" Starkers In Tokyo "by David Coverdale and Adrian Vandenberg. So you can imagine that I am very excited and honored to be the vocalist for the band Vandenberg. ”

The rhythm section for the new line-up consists of bassist Randy van der Elsen (from NWOBHM band Tank) and drummer Koen Autumn (Bobby Kimball (Toto), Epica and Doro). Vandenberg: "Koen has been voted the Netherlands' best hard rock drummer for several years. He has the fire in his body that greats such as John Bonham and Ian Paice get a smile. Randy was often tipped and has a lot of experience. Like Koen, he is a brilliant musician." Two world-famous guests can also be heard on the album, namely bassist Rudy Sarzo (Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot, Dio, Queensryche) and drummer Brian Tichy (Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, Billy Idol).

The album was produced by Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie). "The vibe we have with this turbo line-up is great," Vandenberg concludes. "We're not going on stage as a nostalgic act trying to relive what happened years ago. This is a brand new, dynamic band with a legacy name that stands for something.
