Product information
Strange Kostgangers completes the trilogy with the album Mist. “It is a worthy final chord for an illustrious trio,” says Boudewijn de Groot. With Henny Vrienten and George Kooymans he formed the trio that created a lasting oeuvre in close collaboration. This is also evident now, in the thirteen songs of Mist. The songs were created together, but bear recognizable signatures. Like van Vrienten. Time Shortage (with the sentence 'will I ever be able to get used to lying down?') sounds harsh now, but the philosophical Niet Mutual and the loving closing song Zeg Me still characterize the light-hearted lyricist. But Mist is equally supported by the other boarders. Kooymans sings about his 88 guitars in Fender Strat, is funny in Lippen and performs De Liefde Kent Geen Tijd by Thé Lau. De Groot excels in The End of Maybe. The album is a fitting farewell, with a beautiful cover text: 'In loving memory of Henny. It was his express wish that this album would be made.'
