Wurlitzer C110 Cassette Jukebox – 1972 – Rare – Original – Unrestored

A Rare and Unique Cassette Jukebox from the 1970s!

This original Deutsche Wurlitzer C110 Cassette Jukebox from 1972 is a rare and fascinating piece of jukebox history. Unlike traditional jukeboxes that play vinyl records, this particular Wurlitzer was designed to play compact cassette tapes.

Introduced in 1972 by Deutsche Wurlitzer GmbH in Hüllhorst, West Germany, the C110 represents an unusual chapter in jukebox development. Today, these cassette-operated jukeboxes are highly interesting to collectors of vintage audio equipment, classic jukeboxes, and retro electronics.

Featuring a distinctive 1970s design, an angled selection console, chrome trim, dark blue housing, and striking red illuminated decorative panels, this jukebox is a real eye-catcher.

A Unique Jukebox Designed for Cassette Tapes

The Wurlitzer C110 is an interesting example of the period when jukebox manufacturers experimented with alternative music formats.

While most jukeboxes from this era played 45 RPM vinyl records, Deutsche Wurlitzer developed the C110 specifically for compact cassette tapes.

The machine has a capacity of 10 cassette tapes, which can be selected through its built-in selection system.

The jukebox features a stereo amplifier and an integrated speaker system. Its unusual design, with cassette covers displayed behind glass, gives this machine a distinctive appearance.

Because cassette jukeboxes were produced in much smaller numbers than conventional record-playing jukeboxes, models such as the C110 are particularly interesting to collectors of unusual vintage music equipment.
