Wisconsin - Original 1916 License Plate
The Dutch Pickers
| Material: | Metal |
Product information
An exceptionally early original American license plate from Wisconsin dating from 1916. At more than 110 years old, this is a wonderful surviving piece of early American motoring history and an appealing collectible for enthusiasts of antique license plates and automobilia.
Made from metal, the plate features embossed numbers and lettering. More than a century of age has given the surface a wonderfully authentic, heavily weathered appearance. Much of the original finish has disappeared, leaving oxidation, rust, discoloration and wear that give this piece its unmistakable antique character.
License plates from this early motoring period make fascinating additions to collections of pre-war automobilia, Americana and classic car memorabilia. It also makes an impressive historical display piece for a garage, man cave, workshop or vintage interior.
