Wurlitzer 850 Jukebox 'Peacock' Model 1941 - USA Restoration

Step back into the golden age of American jukeboxes with this spectacular 1941 Wurlitzer 850. With its dramatic illuminated arch, beautiful woodwork and elaborate Art Deco-inspired detailing, the 850 is much more than a music machine – it is a genuine piece of American cultural history.

This particular example received an American restoration and has subsequently been converted to European standards by Bennies Fifties. The machine accommodates 24 original 78 RPM records, providing 24 selections, and is supplied set to free play for convenient use at home.

The Wurlitzer 850 is immediately recognisable by its extraordinary styling. Its illuminated upper arch, decorative metalwork, warm wooden cabinet and spectacular central artwork give the machine a presence few jukeboxes can match. When illuminated, the entire cabinet comes alive with the atmosphere of a classic 1940s American diner, bar or dance hall.

The restoration incorporates carefully made reproduction plastics, designed to recreate the impressive appearance and colourful character of the original components.

24 selections – 78 RPM records

Built during the era when 78 RPM records ruled the jukebox world, the Wurlitzer 850 holds 24 records for 24 selections. Watching the mechanism operate behind the upper glass is part of the experience and gives this machine the mechanical charm collectors value so highly.

A suitable collection of 78 RPM records is optionally available at additional cost, allowing the jukebox to be filled with music to suit your taste.
