Professionally and fully restored by Bennies Fifties, this iconic American jukebox is once again in outstanding technical and cosmetic condition. What makes it truly exceptional, however, is the remarkable story that comes with it.
A History Dating Back to 1965
This jukebox was owned since 1965 by Tara from Florida, who acquired it from the Mare Island Naval Base. For decades, the Wurlitzer was part of her life — a symbol of her youth and memories.
With the purchase, you will receive Tara’s personal story, including a beautiful photograph from 1973, showing her as a high school student standing proudly next to her beloved jukebox.
Survived the Storm
A few years ago, a major storm in Florida caused the jukebox to be submerged in water. With great sadness, Tara had to part with it.
At Bennies Fifties, the Wurlitzer 1700 has since been completely restored and brought back to life. What was once damaged is now revived to its former glory — ready for a new chapter.
Tara would love to connect with the new owner to keep the story of this jukebox alive.
