Rockin’ Presley is a classic Elvis Presley 7-inch EP, originally issued in Germany under catalogue number RCA EPA 9500. German Elvis discographies date the original release to 1956, bringing together four recordings from the remarkable year in which Elvis became an international rock & roll phenomenon.
The EP opens with the legendary pairing of Hound Dog and Don’t Be Cruel. They are joined by I Want You, I Need You, I Love You and the groundbreaking Heartbreak Hotel. This four-track programme is the documented track configuration of the German EPA 9500.
With four major Presley recordings on a single disc, Rockin’ Presley captures Elvis at the height of his spectacular mid-1950s breakthrough. Its distinctive German EPA 9500 catalogue number also makes it particularly interesting for collectors of international Elvis releases.
