Rockin’ Presley is an appealing four-track 7-inch Elvis Presley EP, bringing together four recordings from his legendary breakthrough year of 1956. It is a compact dose of classic 1950s rock & roll, combining two landmark hits with two much-loved recordings from the same era.
Hound Dog and Don’t Be Cruel rank among the most iconic recordings of Elvis' career. Both were recorded during the same RCA session in New York on July 2, 1956, and were paired on a hugely successful single that became one of the defining releases of early rock & roll.
The EP also features When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again and Paralyzed, both of which appeared on Elvis' second studio album, Elvis, in 1956. Written by Otis Blackwell and Elvis Presley, Paralyzed adds another energetic slice of early Presley rock & roll.
With four characteristic performances on one record, Rockin’ Presley makes a great addition to collections devoted to Elvis Presley, rockabilly, classic rock & roll and 1950s vinyl.
